Bhopal player shines in Asian Games, wins three medals including silver

Bhopal: It is a matter of pride for the capital that Bhopal’s Ashi Chowksey has brought glory not only to Bhopal but to the entire country. At such a young age he has played many international matches. Aashi said that she had never thought of making a career in shooting. When he joined NCC and after going to the camp in Panchmarhi, when Aashi did shooting for the first time, after seeing his shooting, his colonel suggested him to make it his career. Since then, Aashi’s interest in shooting increased. With the support of her family, she learned shooting and gradually her interest increased. Ashi has won 2 silver and 1 bronze medal in the Asian Games.

Ashi further said that when she started learning shooting. She was in 10th class then. He had to manage both studies and practice. He had to work harder than other children. Notices had to be made even on Sundays. Aashi did her schooling from a convent school, where focus on studies and perfect attendance were mandatory. This was the most difficult period of Ashi’s life. He had to work hard.

Got a chance to play as a senior at a young age

Aashi is a good and experienced shooting player. Because of which he has been selected in the senior team. In 2019, Aashi missed being selected in the national team by a few points. Then he left practice due to Covid. But his confidence and his hard work got him the first place in the selection held in 2021. After which he got a chance to represent India at the international level. Ashi played her first international match in Peru, South America in 2021. Aashi has so far won 9 international and 70 national star medals.
