New Delhi: Former Team India captain Sourav Ganguly is still active even after retiring from cricket. He has also been the President of BCCI and now he is ready to dominate the business world. Ganguly is currently on a tour of Spain with West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and has also made a big announcement from there. Dada has announced to set up a steel factory in his state and many people will get employment through this factory. Mamta Banerjee is in Spain and UAE on a 12-day tour with her delegation. Ganguly is also with this delegation and from there he has made a big announcement.
Former Team India captain Sourav Ganguly himself announced this while addressing a program in Madrid, Spain on Thursday. He said that he has always been associated with sports but now he is going to enter the world of business. We are going to set up a steel factory in Salboni, West Medinipur. It is being told that the factory work will be completed in the next 5 to 6 months. This factory will also provide employment to local people.
There has been talk of Sourav Ganguly entering politics for quite some time now. Sometimes he is claimed to have got a ticket from BJP and sometimes he is said to be close to Mamata Banerjee. Ganguly himself has not yet confirmed his entry into politics. However, during the foreign tour with Mamata Banerjee, he has definitely announced his entry into the world of business. Trinamool spokesperson Kunal Ghosh has also shared a post in this regard on his Facebook page from Madrid.
The world of business is not for Sourav Ganguly, one of the most successful captains of cricket. His family comes from one of the famous business families not only of Kolkata but also of Bengal. Ganguly’s elder brother Snehasish Ganguly also does business. Ganguly has also run a restaurant earlier. Now it remains to be seen whether the legendary cricket captain is able to play successful innings in this world of steel production or not.
