New Delhi. Captain Rohit Sharma’s statement on the victory against Sri Lanka has come out. He has said that definitely we would like to play on such pitches. This match was full of challenges for us also.

Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma has said after the victory against Sri Lanka that he would like to play on such pitches, because it shows how you play under pressure. India entered the final of Asia Cup 2023 after registering a big win in a low-scoring match against Sri Lanka. The captain is happy with this victory.

Captain Rohit Sharma said in the post match presentation, “It was a good match. It is important for us to play such a game under pressure on a slightly challenging pitch. It was a challenging match in many aspects. Of course we would like to play on such pitches to see what we can achieve, we can also come here and play on such pitches.”

On Hardik Pandya’s bowling, Rohit said, “He has worked really hard on his bowling in the last few years. This doesn’t happen overnight and it’s heartening to see. It seemed as if he was taking wickets on every ball. It was not easy to defend because towards the end the pitch became easy to bat and we had to hit it consistently in one area.”

He further said, “I think we performed quite well. (On Kuldeep) For the last one year, I have been watching him bowling really well. He has worked hard on his rhythm. He went back to the drawing board and worked on it. The ball is coming out well and you can see the results in the last 10 ODIs.
