The biggest heroes of Team India’s victory in this match were Virat Kohli and KL Rahul. Virat Kohli played an inning of 85 runs in 116 balls. At the same time, KL Rahul remained unbeaten after scoring 97 runs in 115 balls, hitting 8 fours and 2 sixes. Both the players made a partnership of 165 runs for the fourth wicket and brought Team India back into the match. KL Rahul was also chosen man of the match for this brilliant innings.

Australian captain Pat Cummins won the toss and decided to bat first. But the Australian team was all out for 199 runs in 49.3 overs. Ravindra Jadeja was the most successful bowler for Team India, taking the maximum of 3 wickets. Kuldeep Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah got 2-2 wickets. Mohammed Siraj, Hardik Pandya and Ravichandran Ashwin took 1-1 wicket. After this, Team India won the match with 6 wickets in hand.
