New Delhi. The Indian Cricket Team has started the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 with a win. Team India defeated Australia by 6 wickets in its first match at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. This match was very low scoring. In this match, Australia, batting first, was reduced to just 199 runs. But despite having a small target, Team India was seen struggling. The top 3 wickets of the Indian team had fallen for just 2 runs. After this, the Indian batsmen performed a feat which was never seen before in the history of cricket.

Something like this happened for the first time in the history of cricket

Chasing the target of 200 runs, India had a very bad start. Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan were out without opening the account. Mitchell Starc sent Kishan to the pavilion on the fourth ball of the first over of the innings. Then pacer Josh Hazlewood dismissed captain Rohit on the third ball of his first over, after which Shreyas Iyer (0) was shown the way to the pavilion on the last ball. However, after losing 3 wickets for 2 runs, Team India made a great comeback and won the match by 6 wickets. This was the first time in the history of cricket when a team won the match after losing 3 wickets for 2 runs. Before this, no team could accomplish such a feat.

The team that won the match by losing 3 wickets for the least runs-
