Pooch Parlor Mobile Grooming AND Spa and Wellness
We are looking to fill 2 positions. We are hiring an apprentice and a fully qualified groomer. Groomer compensation in the 70-100k range for 5 days a week. We are closed on Sundays.
For the apprentice position…Get paid while learning to groom! Westchester’s best mobile grooming company is expanding. Our grooming spa and wellness center is currently under construction in Briarcliff and and will be opening in October.
Opportunity to learn the grooming trade through this PAID apprenticeship.
Learn under some of the best dog groomers in Westchester. After your apprenticeship is completed in approx 4-6 months expect to earn $70-90k yearly plus tips grooming 5-6 dogs daily. You get out of this what you put in. For the motivated person there is no reason you can’t earn upwards of 100k yearly.
For this apprenticeship we will provide all tools needed. Initial duties include: bathing and drying dogs, assisting groomers and light cleaning. We also cover additional educational classes/seminars including lodging at various trade shows.
If you LOVE dogs, want to work in a GORGEOUS top of the line salon, a supportive environment with NICE employers and NICE coworkers and you would like to earn $70-90k yearly plus approx $500 a week please read the qualifications below…
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualities…
-Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds
-Comfortable with working with ALL dog breeds big and small
-Must have a valid drivers license
-Must be punctual
-Must be patient and kind
-Please be detail orientated
-Must have great communication skills to speak directly with the clients before and after each grooming service.
– Maintain a calm & professional grooming environment.
– Maintain cleanliness of the grooming
– Provide assistance to groomer
Schedule:

Day shift
Monday to Friday 8:30/9-5
Weekend availability (1-Saturday per month)

Compensation
$15 hourly to start. After 60 days $17.
Split Tips with groomer for any dog you assist with.
Paid week vacation after 1 year
We are closed New Years Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Years Eve.

Pay: $60,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
