Malan was unlucky and missed scoring the 5th century of his ODI career by just 4 runs. Batting at a strike rate of 101.05, he scored 96 runs in 95 balls. He also hit 12 fours and one six in the innings.
In this match, Stokes became the batsman who played the best individual innings for England in ODI cricket. In this case he broke the record of Jason Roy (180). Batting at a strike rate of 146.77, he scored 182 runs in 124 balls. In this innings he hit 15 fours and 9 sixes. This was the fourth century of his ODI career. He has also scored 22 half-centuries in this format so far.
Fast bowler Trent Boult gave a memorable performance in this match. He made 5 batsmen of the opposing team his victims. This bowler bowled at an economy rate of 5.60 and dismissed 5 batsmen, giving away 51 runs in a spell of 9.1 overs.
