LAI Games is an arcade experience company that connects people with games. We’re building an arcade experience ecosystem that consists of physical arcade games, consumer and location-based VR games and experiences, and other exciting arcade-based titles that connect, engage, and delight players across physical and virtual worlds.
We’re launching our consumer VR title, Arcade Legend, on Quest and Steam later this year, and have many exciting arcade games, a location-based VR title, and an innovative new digital arcade concept, all in various stages of development.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The HR Coordinator facilitates and assists with all HR processes for NASA employee population, assists with maintaining health, welfare and retirement plans and provides general administrative and office support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for processing bi-weekly hourly and salary payroll to include a review of hours, completion of Payroll Checklist, and submitting required reporting to finance.
Biweekly reporting of 401k contributions and loan repayments
Manage new employee onboarding tasks/activities as defined in BBHR
Responsible for initiating employee offboarding, handling HR offboarding tasks, issuing final payroll, and terminating in BBHR
Preparing for employee terminations to include notification for IT, determining what company equipment employee has, preparing Separation Detail Sheet for all involuntary terminations
Maintain HR systems, keeping all employee records current
Assist Talent Acquisition team with phone screen appointment setting, conducting phone screens, setting up interview appointments
Assist Talent Acquisition team with miscellaneous recruitment support as requested
Be the first point of contact and provide exceptional customer service for employee questions/inquiries
Administer health, welfare, and retirement benefits in concert with Legacy Benefits, ADP & Fisher Investments
Monthly review of health and welfare invoices for accuracy and submission for payment
Quarterly audit of HR Systems to ensure accuracy
Assist with employee event planning/shopping and set-up
Assist with set-up of inhouse training, meetings, and onsite events
Assist with annual and mid-year performance and compensation reviews
Assist with compliance-related activities as needed
General office management duties to include processing incoming mail, maintaining and ordering office supplies, maintaining and stocking kitchen supplies, point of contact for janitorial service, and building maintenance
Provide general administrative support as requested by General Manager/VP HR
Continuous development of HR skills via Percipio and external training programs
Assist with administration of travel program to include processing expenses, initiating new employee accounts, and disabling terminated employee access
Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
2+ years’ experience providing general HR administrative support
Working knowledge of basic HR principles, processes, and procedures
Working knowledge of basic administration requirements for health, welfare, and retirement benefits
Experience in payroll processing required (Trax/BBHR a plus)
Able to multi-task and prioritize projects
Exceptional customer service/support skills
High integrity and ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
Positive attitude and demeanor
Strong team player
Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision
Willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail is a must
INTERNAL/EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Ability to develop rapport and maintain positive working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent employment experience
SHRM or HRCI certification or ability to gain certification within the first year
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:
Some work outside of normal work hours is required for global HR meetings
