IND vs AFG: Shardul or Shami in place of Ashwin? Know how Team India’s playing-11 could be.

New Delhi. Today, when the Indian team will be in the field against Afghanistan in the World Cup 2023, a big change can be seen in its playing-11. Team India can give a chance to Shardul Thakur by keeping R Ashwin on the bench. This is because today’s match is to be played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi and the pitch here is quite different from the pitch of India’s previous match (Chepauk).

In the India-Australia match played in Chepauk, Team India entered the field with three spinners. India had adopted this strategy due to the spin friendly wicket. Now since the Delhi pitch is not as spin friendly as Chepauk, Team India can try a fast bowling all-rounder instead of a spin all-rounder. Here Mohammed Shami can also play in place of R Ashwin. But Shardul’s claim is stronger because he is capable of batting hard with the bat also.

A big update in the playing-11 of Team India is that Shubman Gill will not be seen on the field in today’s match also. He has not come to Delhi with Team India. He has not yet fully recovered from dengue. In his place, once again only Ishan Kishan can open the Indian innings.

How could Team India’s playing-11 be?

Rahit Sharma (captain), Ishan Kishan, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur/R Ashwin, Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj.

How could Afghanistan’s playing-11 be?

There does not seem to be any scope for any change in the Afghanistan team. Afghanistan had lost its first match badly against Bangladesh, despite this it can be seen on the field with its same playing-11.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz (wicketkeeper), Ibrahim Zadran, Rahmat Shah, Hashmatullah Shahidi (captain), Mohammad Nabi, Najibullah Zadran, Azmatullah Omarzai, Rashid Khan, Naveen Ul-Haq, Mujeeb Ur Rehman, Fazalhaq Farooqui.
