New Delhi: India has won its 17th gold medal in the 19th Asian Games. Proving every expectation right, World Champion Neeraj Chopra has won this gold medal. The Indian star won gold in the men’s javelin throw final with a throw of 87.88 meters. Along with this, Neeraj also successfully defended his title. Neeraj had also won the gold medal in the 2018 games. This final was also good for India because Indian teenager Jena also won the silver medal.

The performance of Indian players was consistently excellent in the Hangzhou Games. Indian athletes have consistently won many medals in different events and the evening of Wednesday 4th October was also very special because it was the final of Javelin Throw. Neeraj Chopra had come to defend his Asian Games title. He did not have much competition in this competition and the competition he did get was from his own friend Kishore Jena, who had once even left Neeraj behind.
