‘Khelo MP Youth Games’ will start from tomorrow, will be organized for the first time in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal: Khelo MP Youth Games is going to start from October 1. 24 games will be organized by the Sports and Youth Welfare Department in Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior, Shivpuri, Jabalpur, Katni and Rewa of Madhya Pradesh from 01 to 05 October 2023. As part of the pre-Games awareness campaign, the torch procession of “Khelo MP Youth Games” reached Mandideep Raisen today.

Municipality President Priyanka Aggarwal accepted the torch in Mandideep. The torch rally left for Bhopal from Satlapur Junction via Complex Square, Durga Mandir, Mosque Square, Ganesh Chowk, Durga Chowk, Railway Station Road. On 17th September 2023, two torches will reach Bhopal on 30th September via different routes. Both the torches will tour 26 districts each and reach the venue of the ceremony in the capital Bhopal.

As a symbol of the Games, the torch will remain installed at the venue till the end of the Games. Let us tell you that the Madhya Pradesh government is organizing sports from the development block to the state level, due to which the lower level sports talents of the state are getting a proper opportunity to showcase their talent through MP Youth Games.

It is noteworthy that MP Youth Games is going to be organized for the first time in Madhya Pradesh on the lines of Khelo India. These games will be organized in 3 phases in all 52 districts of the state. The game will be organized at the district, division and state level. 24 sports have been included in MP Youth Game. This competition, which will be started for the first time in MP, will start from the month of October.

Sports Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia has reviewed the preparations. Youth below 18 years of age will be able to participate in this game. MP Youth Games include Athletics, Basketball, Badminton, Boxing, Football, Hockey, Judo, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Malkhamb, Shooting, Swimming, Weightlifting, Wrestling, Table-Tennis, Yogasan, Taekwondo, Volleyball, Kayaking-Canoeing, Rowing, Games like fencing, archery, chess and tennis are included.
