New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s passion for cricket is not hidden from anyone. Shahrukh Khan is the owner of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team in the Indian Premier League i.e. IPL. Famous cricketers like Sourav Ganguly, Gautam Gambhir, Suryakumar Yadav, Dinesh Karthik and Shreyas Iyer have played for his team. Not only this, KKR team has also been IPL champion twice.

Of course, Virat Kohli has not played for the KKR team, but he has a good bonding with Shahrukh Khan. On some occasions, Virat has also been seen dancing on the song ‘Jhoome Jo Pathan’ from Shahrukh’s famous film Pathan. On this Shahrukh wrote in reply – I love Virat Kohli. He is just like me to me. I always pray for the best for him…he is like a brother and son-in-law to us.

Actually, this ‘relationship’ of Shahrukh with Virat Kohli is dual. Being famous personalities of the country, both of them have ‘mutual bond’, Virat is also the husband of Shahrukh’s co-star Anushka Sharma. Anushka started her film career with the film ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ in which ‘King Khan’ also played the role of hero.

Later, Anushka has also worked with Shahrukh in some other films. Even though Shahrukh has been Anushka’s co-star in these films, the 35-year-old Bollywood actress has considered King Khan as her mentor rather than her supporting hero. Shahrukh also attended the reception organized in Mumbai after the marriage of Anushka and Virat.

During the match between KKR and RCB during IPL 2023, Shahrukh Khan had reached Eden Gardens Stadium to cheer for the team. After the match, Shahrukh Khan warmly hugged Virat Kohli on the ground. After this, on Shahrukh’s request, Virat Kohli showed dance moves on the song ‘Jhoome, Jo Pathan’ from the film ‘Pathan’. This video of Virat and Shahrukh went viral on social media.
