US added 150k jobs in October as jobless rate ticked higher


The US economy added 150,000 jobs and the unemployment rate rose to 3.9 percent in October, according to new data released by the Labor Department on Friday.

The October jobs report fell short of expectations after economists projected the US to add roughly 170,000 jobs and maintain a jobless rate of 3.8 percent jobless rate.
