Job Description :

Audacy is seeking a full time Vice President, Digital Ad Operations to support the digital team. The Vice President, Digital Ad Operations leads operations across Audacy’s Owned and Operated digital audio channels including streaming and podcasting as well as its websites, and apps. This senior leadership position is responsible for managing and implementing long-term ad strategy while meeting immediate needs of the business. You will be responsible for mentoring and developing a team of dedicated ad ops professionals in several roles (Managers, Coordinators, Traffickers). You will focus on continuous improvement of our ad operations processes and technology to ensure a best-in-class user experience, superior advertising experience, and maximum monetization. You’ll partner closely with sales, content, technology, and external stakeholder teams to lead and collaborate on strategic company initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a track-record of driving operational success and scale, with expert knowledge of the technologies and organizational structures needed to drive results and operational excellence. You are proactive, a builder, a self-starter, a leader, and a mentor.

This position reports to the SVP, Revenue Operations.

We are happy to consider candidates in any location for this position so long as they reside within reasonable commuting distance to one of our markets.

The anticipated starting salary range for Colorado-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $85,000 to $135,000. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.

Responsibilities:

What You’ll Do:

Lead, mentor, and develop a growing team of 28 ad ops professionals which support both the local and national sales teams.
This team is primarily responsible for

Streaming and web/app campaign trafficking
Podcast network campaign trafficking and reporting
Cross platform audio campaign trafficking and reporting
Ongoing delivery risk reporting and optimizing campaign delivery

This role is the point of escalation for questions or issues related to Audio/Display campaign delivery
Partner with Sales Leadership to define the most effective and scalable audio delivery capabilities with Audacy’s ad server platform, Amperwave
Partner with Media Planning leadership to help inform sold inventory vs forecasted inventory
Partner with Campaign Management Leadership to provide best in class market support of sold campaign delivery
Be a key stakeholder for Ad Tech advancements including attribution pixel tracking, ad tagging solutions, and inventory yield opportunities
Collaborate with Content teams to provide perspective on ad delivery opportunities to drive revenue.
Multi-task on various campaigns and projects, remaining organized throughout and prioritizing tasks as needed
Build and implement processes and workflows for best practices
More About You:

Required & Preferred:

8+ years of directly related experience in ad operations, account services, and leading teams within the digital space
Strong management skills, strategic perspectives, and business acumen
Up-to-date knowledge and engagement with wide-ranging industry standards and bespoke technology solutions around streaming audio, podcasting, web technologies, and apps
Proven experience building out and scaling ad operations teams to optimize efficiency and performance across the organization
Expert-level ability to scale, train, define and manage the deployment of new processes and solutions across teams and the organization
Strong analytical skills and ability to document process flows and diagnose challenges and updates to our ad operations
Strong communication skills and ability to develop and present strategic updates to internal and external stakeholders
Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Ability to work cross functionally with many teams
Ability to thrive in a complex and fast-paced environment


Extensive knowledge of ad serving platforms.
Experience with any of the following digital audio platforms is a plus.

WO Streaming, Adswizz, Triton, Megaphone

Experience with third-party advertising platforms such as Google, Facebook, and DSPs
Experience implementing, testing and QAing third party tags
Extensive knowledge of CMS and publishing platforms required
In-depth understanding and experience with digital ad products, audience measurement tools, ad trackers, and programmatic advertising
BA/BS degree in a relevant field
