The Indian Cricket Team defeated Australia by 6 wickets in the match played at Chepauk Stadium, Chennai. In this match, Virat Kohli has achieved a big achievement in his name. When Virat Kohli scored 38 runs in this match, he completed 11,000 runs at number-3. He is the first Indian batsman to do so.
The record of scoring most runs at number-3 in ODI is in the name of former Australian captain Ricky Ponting. He has scored 12,662 runs while playing at this number. Similarly, the third highest run scoring batsman at this number is former Sri Lankan captain Kumar Sangakkara (9,747).
